I have decided to quit smoking...again.
I have had three cigarettes today and will try to keep you updated on my progress. I am crocheting up a storm to try to keep my hands busy, and sucking on lollipops to keep the oral fixation down to a minimum. I have tried to quit cold turkey before and succeeded. The last time I went without for two years, after ex had a burst appendix and was forced to quit. He almost didn't come out of the anesthesia because of the black in his lungs. I only started again because he did. At the time we lived in a small trailer and when he smoked inside I might as well have been smoking too. (No ventilation there!!) Now it's my house, my rules, my decision. I signed up with the Quit.net online. they give you tips and tricks, as well as support. My best friend is quitting too. She is going to be my best support because we used to take smoke breaks together at work. I think I need all the help I can get. Back to my crochet.
I am working on a sweater for Brandi, a friend of my daughter. It is pink and done in the diagonal box stitch. I am kinda making it up as I go. Kinda following the design in one of my groups crochet alongs. I will post the link when I find it. It is a rough imimation because the cardigan is done in motifs and mine is done in larger blocks. If I can finish it I will post a pic.
I am also doing a scrap LB homespun afghan for my kingsize bed and a LB homespun round ripple for My daughter's MIL (kinda). A blue/white baby grannie for a coworker, a pink rr for a sister of a coworker. And of course PIG, the blankets for two of a friend's kids. I think today I will work on the LB Homespun RR. It is the easiest to carry out to the living room right now. Will send pics later.
